Dear Students- We have scheduled several sessions to help prepare you for your upcoming Clinical II experience. As mentioned in our previous email, you should be obtaining a substitute teaching license if you do not already have one. Updated directions for sub certifications are available on the Certification Office website. We also strongly encourage you to pursue Google Educator certification. If you plan to attend the sessions below, please take a minute to RSVP so that the presenters can plan for the appropriate number of attendees. If you are not able to attend, we will be recording the sessions and posting them on our website.
I encourage you to attend these live if possible so that you can ask questions. I also encourage you to attend or watch all of these prior to the start of the semester. These workshops will provide a number of tools that may be helpful in your context and you should spend additional time exploring the suggested resources before the semester begins.
Lastly, this link is a recording of a session for our summer graduate students on a wide variety of technology tools for online instruction by Craig Kapp, formerly of TCNJ and currently at NYU. (The beginning of the recording is a bit choppy-the session begins at 00:30). I highly recommend this session– there are a number of interesting tools and ideas.
